HOP!fest is an urban outdoor festival for the whole family, which will be held for the first time this coming summer, June 25-28, 2024. The festival spreads across the city center of Pori, Pedestrian Street, Eetunaukio, SuomiAreena's citizens square, Eteläranta and surprising places. The program mostly includes free street theater and circus performances, which are suitable for viewers of different ages and language backgrounds, so almost everyone. The artists of the festival are experienced performers from around the world, at least from Ireland, Sweden, Spain, Australia and Great Britain, not forgetting domestic and local artists. The program also includes low-threshold workshops and an admission-paid evening program in Kehräämö of the Rakastajat theater.
HOP!fest is funded with the support of the Finnish Cultural Foundation's "Art to the second power" grant, and it is also supported by Svenska Kulturfonden i Björneborg, City of Pori and Culture Ireland.
